DCA
ANNOUNCES
ORDER
FROM
GUIDEPOSTS
LEBANON, NJ -- Document Conversion
Associates, Inc., a leading integrator of information
capture and electronic document management solutions
announced today an order from Guideposts, the publisher
of Guideposts Magazine and other best selling books,
for an integrated order processing system.
Guideposts will use this imaged-based solution,
which will be installed in their Carmel, NY Fulfillment
Center, to process all of their order and subscription
renewal forms. This system includes a high-speed
Kodak i830 Image Scanner, OCR for Forms data capture
software and Legato’s OTG Content Management
Software. “After a thorough and extensive evaluation,
we selected DCA because their consultative approach
allowed them to offer us the most flexible and cost
effective solution to replace our current scanning
and data entry system,” said Barry Smith, Director
of Operations at Guideposts. “This new system
will provide us with more functionality than our
current system while lowering our total cost of ownership,” he
continued.
“DCA is extremely pleased to have been chosen
by Guideposts to develop and implement their next
generation order processing system,” said Richard
P. McLoughlin, Vice President of Business Development
at DCA. “Our experience as a full solutions
integrator allowed us to review Guidepost’s
unique requirements which included processing 300
different form types, and develop the best technical
solution for their needs.”
A key reason this system was chosen was the flexibility
it provided. “Because our forms constantly
change, we required a system that not only met our
processing requirements but also provided us with
the ability to maintain and develop our own applications,” said
Marie Twomey, Data Entry Manager at Guideposts. “The
DCA system offered us that flexibility and more.”
